Grapes Grains and Giving Finale
Friday evening, February 17 the Holly Springs Chamber hosted its Third Annual Grapes, Grains, Giving event at the Mims House. To the delight of all the evening starts with delicious appetizers, local beers and wines with music provided by very talented musicians from Holly Springs High School. The setting, the historic Mims House, encourages all in attendance to flow from room to room while mingling with all. The highlight of the evening is a live auction, as noted in the program, of “Artisan decorated footstools, baseball bats and skateboard decks.” A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Holly Springs ARTS Council. Throughout the auction are “Wine Pulls” – one purchases a $10 wine cork and if your wine cork is pulled you can choose a wine valued at $25 plus. It is all a very enjoyable evening and something for everyone.
Brenda Priest, President/Executive Director, HS ARTS Council expressed the Council’s appreciation, “The engaging and lively auctioneer had paddles flying to bid on step stools, skateboard decks and baseball bats. We had student painted items and professional local artists work too; all unique and original. The community came and supported the HS Chamber and the HS Arts Council again at Grapes Grains and Giving. With the funds from the live auction, we will continue our Mission to promote the Arts and foster the creative spirit in Holly Springs.”
Scott Manning, CEO, Holly Springs Chamber, “The Chamber’s third annual Grapes, Grains, and Giving was a big hit – selling out and raising over $3,000 for the HS Arts Council and the Chamber! Guests enjoyed spirits from Carolina Brewing Company, Bombshell Beer, Adams Vineyards, and Niche Wine Lounge. The event’s fantastic fare was crafted by Belle’s Catering and dessert was provided by Jennifer Shosho with Two Little Ones Cupcakes. We would like to thank the Coastal Plain League for being the title sponsor this year along with the Keck Realty Group, Holly Springs Salamanders, Movement Mortgage, Holly Springs Eye Associates – Dr.Vito, and TNC Communications for their support, as well. We look forward to selling out again next year and raising even more money for the Holly Springs Arts Council!”
